Biography
My name is Mirhuseyn Taghiyev, a dedicated advocate for international relations, sustainable development, and youth empowerment. Born on October 16, 2004, in Baku, Azerbaijan, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations at Baku State University. My academic journey is complemented by extensive leadership and volunteer experiences, which have shaped my commitment to creating a positive impact in my community and beyond.
As a Youth Envoy at the Headway Institute of Strategic Alliance, I engage and mobilise youth, shape policies, and conduct skill-building workshops to enhance youth participation in global issues. I also serve as a program manager at the Youth Diplomacy Forum, where I manage programs to advance youth diplomacy through virtual workshops and seminars. Additionally, I am a Sustainable Development Goals Guardian at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan, promoting sustainable practices and tracking progress using digital tools.
I hold leadership roles as the President of Baku State University Model OIC, a Young European Ambassador at EU Neighbours East, and the Chairman of the IR and Diplomacy Committee at Brain Centres of NAYORA. These roles have allowed me to organise simulations, promote European values, and engage in high-level diplomatic discussions.
Proficient in Azerbaijani, Turkish, and English, with basic knowledge of Russian and German, I am skilled in using digital tools like Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Canva to enhance my work. My achievements include organising virtual workshops, promoting sustainability, and fostering cultural exchange through diaspora initiatives.
Volunteering with Universal Youth Alliance aligns with my mission to empower youth and address global challenges. I am excited to bring my leadership, advocacy, and digital skills to support initiatives that inspire and uplift young people worldwide.
