My name is Engy Abdelnasser, an accomplished professional with a strong background in political science, communication, and migration studies. Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, I have always been driven by a passion for social justice, community empowerment, and creating meaningful change. As a Senior Specialist in the UN Women WEE-ES Program, I have worked to empower women in rural areas by providing training in small and medium enterprise development, helping them overcome barriers to economic participation. My research on migration patterns and policy impacts has been presented at international conferences, advocating for informed policies to address the challenges faced by refugees and migrants. Through my role at Climate Sirents, I have engaged communities in environmental awareness and sustainable practices, fostering partnerships to tackle climate change. As an assistant lecturer, I mentor students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to address complex social issues and become future leaders. My volunteer work with NGOs such as Refugee Voices and One Better World Collective has allowed me to contribute to campaigns that uplift marginalised communities, advocate for social justice, and promote inclusive narratives.
