Biography

My name is Srre Vaishnavi Palanisamy, a law graduate with a strong passion for using legal knowledge as a tool for social justice. I completed my LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University, graduating with First Class Honours, and have gained extensive experience in legal research, advocacy, and policy work. My dedication to social causes is reflected in my diverse volunteering experiences. As a Youth Ambassador for the World Literacy Foundation, I successfully organised a fundraising event to support global literacy programs, engaging donors and raising awareness about the importance of education. I also volunteered with Amnesty International Newcastle, participating in campaigns against human rights violations in Saudi Arabia and advocating for change. Additionally, my work with Action Foundation UK involved providing one-to-one support for refugees, helping them access essential services, and addressing safeguarding issues. In my professional capacity, I work as a tax paralegal, focusing on research and legal support, while continuing to expand my legal expertise through webinars and professional development opportunities. My volunteer work has honed my leadership, advocacy, and community engagement skills, enabling me to make a meaningful impact in my community and beyond. Volunteering with Universal Youth Alliance aligns with my mission to drive positive change through advocacy and community engagement. I am excited to bring my legal expertise, leadership experience, and passion for social justice to support initiatives that empower youth.
