Biography

My name is Noha El-Maamoun, a highly qualified professional with exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. I thrive under pressure, possess strong analytical and organisational abilities, and am a quick learner who adapts seamlessly to diverse environments and cultures. My career reflects a commitment to human rights, development, and women’s empowerment, with extensive experience in leadership, advocacy, and international affairs. Since August 2018, I have served as the director of the She and Society Initiative, which I founded to empower women and promote gender equality. Previously, I held roles as the International Affairs Unit Director at both the Dialogue Forum for Human Rights and Development and the Maat Foundation for Peace, Development, and Human Rights, where I contributed to advancing human rights and sustainable development. My extracurricular activities include graduating from the African Presidential Leadership Program (3rd Batch), participating in international forums such as the UN Human Rights Council (OHCHR) and the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in Geneva, and serving as an observer at the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (ACHPR). I have also coordinated youth exchange programmes under Erasmus+ in Athens, Greece, and volunteered as a translator at the UN Biodiversity Conference. I have completed numerous professional courses, including Training of Trainers, Project Management, Crisis Management, and National Security Strategies, among others. These have equipped me with the skills to lead, negotiate, and manage complex projects effectively. Volunteering with Universal Youth Alliance aligns with my mission to drive positive change and empower communities globally. I am excited to bring my expertise, leadership, and passion for human rights and development to support initiatives that inspire youth and foster peace and sustainability worldwide.
